About this Project
The Access:Ability Scholars’ Community Event series brings together thought leaders in disability access and inclusion to challenge the way we think about accessibility and equity. Held twice a year, these events are open to the public and feature expert guest speakers, dynamic panel discussions and impactful film screenings that place disability at the forefront of conversations around inclusion and push for broader awareness within the University of Delaware campus and throughout the surrounding community. By raising visibility and sparking dialogue, the Access:Ability Scholars' Community Events work to dismantle the misconception that disability is a niche issue, making clear that accessible environments benefit everyone. With your support, we can continue to drive these vital conversations.
Donor Impact: How your support makes a difference!
Each donation helps secure leading thought leaders on disability access and inclusion, ensuring that the conversations we start are led by those at the forefront of advocacy and change. Funds also cover honorariums, travel and per diem expenses, accessibility services like ASL and CART and necessary event technical support. By supporting our Community Event series, you help foster a new generation of disability advocates—people equipped with the tools and understanding to champion accessibility in their own spheres of influence.
Gifts will be designated to the Undergraduate Program Enrichment Fund to support this project.
