About this Project
The goal of our project is to honor the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (WUDPAC) Founders and Directors by presenting an annual WUDPAC Founders and Directors Award recognizing outstanding research achievements of WUDPAC Fellows and recent graduates. The award supports their research and associated expenses. Fundraising started last year, and we received just over $50,000 allowing the first award of $2,500 to be granted this past summer. The award is incredibly important to permit awardees the opportunity to share the knowledge gained from their projects, improve preservation of cultural heritage, support them as leaders in conservation and enhance the reputation of WUDPAC.
Donor Impact: How your support makes a difference!
Building on the success of the first year of fundraising, your donation will provide critical funds, unavailable from traditional funding sources, to advance research projects undertaken by WUDPAC Fellows and recent graduates. These research projects improve the care, preservation and interpretation of our diverse cultural heritage. The Fellows and recent graduates have innovative and interdisciplinary projects that not only investigate conservation treatments and research but also focus on areas of sustainability and climate change. Please help by giving generously to this year’s campaign.
