Biden Institute: Summer of Service Program
Help exemplary students gain access to substantive career-building opportunities.

About this Project

The Biden Institute's Summer of Service program provides students with experiential learning opportunities and leadership skills through placement with companies and organizations nationwide. These paid, virtual and/or in-person career focused, 8-10 week internships provide students with hands-on experience in public policy, communications and advocacy with non-profit organizations and government agencies.  Selected students have the opportunity to work virtually/or in-person for internship sites that include Active Minds, the Office of Senator Chris Coons, Human Rights Campaign, CleanCapital, Save the Children, US Conference of Mayors and more.

Donor Impact: How your support makes a difference!

Your contribution allows us to provide more internships each year, expanding our reach and providing valuable experiential learning opportunities to students. Thank you!

In Honor of Christian Harris

At the request of the members of Zeta Beta Tau (ZBT), the Biden Institute will be raising funds for an internship in honor of Christian Harris. Christian, a member of ZBT and a Biden Institute Intern, passed away in April of 2021. In honor of his strong commitment to social justice and engaging in opportunities that brought together people from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, ZBT wants to support students who demonstrate Christian’s passionate zeal for bettering society by raising funds for one of the Biden Institute’s social justice internships. The funds raised through this campaign will go towards a paid internship for a University of Delaware student.
