About this Project
The University of Delaware’s Health and Disability Lab proudly presents the PACE (Promoting Active Community Engagement) Program—an initiative designed to fully engage with Delaware’s beautiful public parks and recreational facilities to enhance physical activity, health, and well-being among adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers. Participants in this program enjoy various inclusive activities, such as walking, running, rolling, brief exercise stations, and stretching exercises, all tailored to their personal goals.
PACE is special because UD students serve as program facilitators, bringing energy and enthusiasm to each session while gaining valuable hands-on experience and opportunities to be physically active alongside participants. These dedicated students are supervised by experienced staff of the Health and Disability Lab, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment for everyone involved.
We invite you to be a part of this exciting opportunity to promote #ActiveLivingforEveryone and #ActiveCommunitiesforEveryone. Let’s stride toward a healthier future together!
Donor Impact: How your support makes a difference!

UD's Health and Disability Lab's mission is to create and promote exercise programs and opportunities that harness innovative health technologies for individuals with developmental disabilities. Thank you for your support!
Gifts are designated to the Delaware Adapted Sports Club in support of the PACE program which is directly associated with Delaware’s Health and Disability Lab.
