Project Recover
Aid Project Recover in applying underwater technologies to locate and recover MIA service personnel.

About this Project

Project Recover includes UD scientists, students, historians and military veterans who search the oceans to locate and recover the remains of the more than 80,000 Americans missing in action since World War II. Using advanced underwater technologies, historical records and a team of scientific divers, Project Recover has so far completed over 100 missions in 24 counties. Dr. Mark Moline, Harrington Professor of Marine Studies, is the co-founder and active leader of UD’s Project Recover and recently began a UD-student internship program to assist with these efforts.

Donor Impact: How your support makes a difference!

Your investment helps deliver closure and solace to MIA families who have gone generations without answers. The return of MIAs is solely dependent on the gifts we receive, and we are grateful for each donation, which directly supports student participation, travel logistics and field operations.
