Dept of Theatre and Dance: Jazzy Nut! Performance
Support UD’s first dance production of Jazzy Nut!, an untraditional holiday celebration.

About this Project

Jazzy Nut!, an original and untraditional holiday celebration inspired by Duke Ellington's Nutcracker Suite, is an exciting project created by Professor of Dance Kimberly Schroeder along with students and alumni. This new work takes elements from the classic Nutcracker ballet and reimagines the traditional story. Set in New Orleans during the height of the Jazz Age, Lena and her friends jump, jive and slide through an evening filled with sweet fun and toe tapping adventure. This production is sure to delight audiences familiar with the holiday classic through jazz music and dance.
