James E. Newton Scholarship Fund
Provide scholarship support to students in Africana Studies.

About this Project

The University of Delaware Department of Africana Studies invites you to support an exciting initiative honoring the life and legacy of Dr. James E. Newton, Emeritus Professor of Africana Studies. The James E. Newton Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for students in Africana Studies. Teaching Black Studies is under assault in our nation—a reality that underscores the need to strengthen Africana Studies and expand its resources to serve students and build essential connections to our alumni, Black Delawareans and all people who were touched by the magnificent life of Dr. Newton.
