About this Project
Experiencing life in another country can be life-changing, both professionally and personally. Future early childhood and elementary education teachers have the option to student teach abroad during their senior year in one of our international partner schools in Greece, Spain or Japan. Students could really use your help in making their dream turn into reality!
“It was an opportunity for growth, and I got the chance to figure things out in terms of my career. I connected with a new culture, music and a new experience. This has taught me to be present to soak in every experience.” Geraldine Lara-Silva, 2024 CEHD graduate.
How your support makes a difference!
Your generous gift will support future educators who have the desire to be immersed in a different culture and expand their pre-service teaching experience. This is an opportunity of a lifetime, and for many students it is the first time outside of the country.
Living and teaching abroad helps them develop a global perspective and grow professionally. Your gift will help to cover the costs of airfare, housing and/or food for teacher education students who would otherwise miss out on this amazing opportunity!
Gifts may also provide general support for study abroad experiences in the College of Education and Human Development.
