About this Project
The UD Early Learning Center is expanding our STEAM initiative by developing special age group discovery centers for individual and small group explorations. We are starting with the introduction of “light”! Light tables, boxes, cubes, mirrors, glowing cylinders, small and larger builders, and color-changing LED-illuminated manipulatives will light the path for infinite discoveries and explorations. Designed to captivate young minds, these discovery centers provide opportunities for children to naturally engage in dramatic play, construction, problem-solving and more as they immerse themselves in experimenting with light and shadow, color combinations and the magical properties of reflection and refraction.
How your support makes a difference!
Your gift will help us purchase light tables and coordinating light and color mixing accessories to build three specific STEAM centers for our infant, toddler and preschool/school age children. Together, we will light the path for all future discoveries for our young children. Your contribution will ensure that our youngest Blue Hens’ futures shine bright. Help us light their way!
