Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders
Empower children who stutter to speak, dream and live without limits.

About this Project

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Delaware aims to expand Camp Dream.Speak.Live.Delaware—a transformative, research-based program for children and adolescents who stutter. Over the past two years, our summer camp has successfully improved these children's communicative skills and self-esteem, all at no cost to their families from Delaware and the Mid-Atlantic states. In 2025, we hope to increase our impact even further.

In partnership with the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research, this annual week-long camp brings together children and adolescents who stutter to learn effective communication strategies, forge lasting friendships and discover the confidence to lead in their communities. Join us in creating a brighter future for these remarkable young people—your contribution will help them speak, dream and live without limits.

How your support makes a difference!

Your support helps us expand our life-changing summer camp, funding specialized speech-language pathologists, dedicated staff, nourishing meals, exciting activities and vital travel assistance for families in need. Together, we can empower children who stutter to find their voices and thrive.
