About this project:
The origins and nature of language and its profound connection to the human mind remain a fascinating and complex mystery. The teaching and research mission of UD's Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science is to gain a deeper understanding of the mind’s unique capacity for complex language. This work serves as a foundation for advancements in artificial intelligence, communication sciences and disorders, speech-language pathology, child cognitive development and literacy skills.
Student experiential learning opportunities are essential to our mission. These include research assistantships, opportunities to present at conferences, study abroad, linguistic field work and more. Please help us on our quest to expand these types of opportunities for our students.
