About this project:
Extension Scholars will immerse themselves in the world of Cooperative Extension through this hands-on experiential learning environment. Working closely with their mentors, they will gain real-world experience, actively participating in the field.
Scholars will engage with summer youth camps, teaching interactive lessons on healthy living to children ages 8-12. They will learn about and assist in processing plant samples that serve both the public and commercial growers. Additionally, scholars will contribute to the development and delivery of a new educational walking trail in Dover, which will highlight topics such as agricultural history and natural resource conservation. Cooperative Extension impacts the community in many ways, bringing university research directly to the public.
