Paul J. Rickards, Jr. Teaching Innovation Grant
Empower faculty to transform learning and foster innovation and creativity in education.

About this Project

The Paul J. Rickards, Jr. Teaching Innovation Grant program encourages the spirit of innovation in education. Responding to new approaches in a post-COVID and early-AI world, these seed grants enable faculty to bring new teaching ideas to the classroom.

By providing resources, capturing success stories and sharing them widely, we create a ripple effect of innovation. The result is a continually evolving educational landscape that offers students engaging, cutting-edge learning experiences.

Projects completed from the inaugural grant offering include:

  • An interactive 'escape room' for freshman materials science students
  • A Music Error Detection Website for aspiring musicians
  • A Data Visualization Workshop Series for economics students
