About this project:
The University of Delaware’s Transformational Experiences in Finance (TEF) initiative provides Finance students with opportunities to attend financial conferences as well as visit regional employers in the finance industry.
Recent student events included touring ACRES Capital's Long Island headquarters and meeting with the C-Suite leadership team, attending the Mortgage Bankers Association's Private Credit Finance Summit in New York City and a trip to Baltimore, Maryland for a private tour of T. Rowe Price's trading floor. Day trips like these have the potential to translate into summer internship opportunities for our students. Additionally, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) of Philadelphia has been instrumental in hosting multiple finance workshops specifically for our UD finance students. These real estate finance workshops have included hard-hat tours of two active redevelopment projects in Philadelphia. Thanks to ULI, our UD finance students have visited redevelopment projects in University City and the Navy Yard during the past year.
This project helps us to afford and plan for future opportunities for students to get experience. Our next day trip is tentatively scheduled to occur later this spring where we will visit the headquarters of a leading ETF and mutual fund provider.
