Your gift to the James E. Newton Community Engaged Learning Fund honors the life and legacy of Dr. James E. Newton, emeritus professor of Africana Studies, and his commitment to education and community uplift.

Teaching Black Studies is under assault in our Nation, a reality that underscores the need to strengthen Africana Studies and expand its resources to serve students and build essential connections to our alumni, Black Delawareans, and all people who were touched by the magnificent life and gifts of Dr. Newton.
