Morris Library Special Collections Renovation
Support a transformative renovation of the Special Collections space to better serve UD's community.

About this Project

Every Blue Hen—regardless of major or academic interest—benefits from Morris Library’s collections, resources and staff expertise, with Special Collections standing as one of the University of Delaware’s most unique assets.

Morris Library is embarking on a transformative renovation of the Special Collections space to better serve students, researchers and the broader community. Key improvements include:

  • A welcoming reading room for researchers to access the department’s world-class collections.
  • An updated and well-furnished reading room and collection space for the Mark Samuels Lasner Collection.
  • Collaborative research rooms to support group work using the collections.
  • Dynamic exhibition space open to all Library visitors.
  • A reception area that increases visibility and accessibility.
