About This Project
The University of Delaware Softball program continues its fightin’ spirit in its first season in Conference USA. Senior Sydney Shaffer has already etched her name in the history books this season by launching her 30th career home run, becoming just the third player in program history to reach that milestone. Katie Scheivert reached a major career milestone by becoming the eighth player in program history to score 100 career runs. Junior shortstop Sorella Gallucci has also provided significant power, belting two home runs in a single day and recording a three-run shot to lead a five-run rally in the game vs. Le Moyne. On the mound, the pitching staff has shown dominance in key stretches, highlighted by Karli Challburg and Josie Crossman delivering back-to-back complete-game shutouts to close out February.
How your support makes a difference!
Delaware Softball looks to continue its tradition of excellence as it gears up for the postseason. Gifts made to the program ensure Delaware Softball student-athletes have the resources needed to be successful in competition, in the classroom and as they prepare for life after UD, providing funding for travel, equipment, apparel, lodging and ensures the creation of an incredible student-athlete experience by enhancing key resources like sports performance, performance nutrition, and academic and career readiness programming, all of which help our players excel on and off the field. We are incredibly grateful for our Blue Hen Family who continue to cheer on Delaware Softball through every inning, rain or shine, and for supporting us from afar. Thank you for being part of our journey as we fight hard to represent the 302!
