About this Project
The Department of Theatre and Dance is poised for significant growth and development. Expanding opportunities for our students, regionally, nationally and internationally, will enable the programs to forge connections with top experts and organizations while fostering cross-cultural and interdisciplinary exchanges. These initiatives will establish UD as a leader in the theatre and dance community, positioning us at the forefront of higher education.
This project ensures that every student at UD has the opportunity to broaden their theatre and dance knowledge through collaborations with renowned artists, scholars and companies as well as through travel to attend conferences and festivals in order to present their creative and scholarly research and engage with the community, their peers and industry professionals.
How your support makes a difference!
Your gift will enable the Department of Theatre and Dance to support student travel to conferences and festivals as well as bring in scholars, artists and theatre/dance companies to deliver lectures, collaborate with students, conduct workshops and present work at UD and the surrounding region. This academic year, we were able to send one student to the National Dance Education Organization Conference, where he presented his research and the development of a phone app designed to assess dance knowledge, and supported 10 students to attend the American College Dance Association conference. Your contribution will help us expand these impactful opportunities and provide even more transformative and high impact experiences for our students.
