About This Project
The goal of UD's Athletic Training Education Program (UD ATEP) is to strengthen the educational experience for athletic training students by providing the tools, opportunities and community support they need to succeed. Through this fundraising effort, we aim to purchase medical kits for students, ensuring they have access to essential supplies as they develop the hands-on skills required to care for athletes and patients. These kits will directly support students during clinical experiences, allowing them to practice and apply their training with confidence and professionalism.
In addition to supporting current students, a portion of the funds will continue to support the Joan Couch Scholarship, helping future athletic training students pursue their education and reduce financial barriers to entering the profession. By investing in scholarships, we help ensure that passionate and talented students can continue their journey toward becoming healthcare professionals.
This initiative also seeks to strengthen connections within our athletic training community by expanding alumni engagement and creating more opportunities for graduates to reconnect with the program and with one another. Building a stronger alumni network helps foster mentorship, professional development and lifelong relationships that benefit both current students and program graduates.
How your support makes a difference!
Your gift directly supports the future of athletic training. Donations help provide students with essential medical kits and clinical supplies, giving them the tools they need to confidently care for athletes and patients during their clinical experiences. Your support also sustains the Joan Couch Scholarship, helping dedicated students pursue their passion for athletic training while honoring a legacy of commitment to the profession.
At the same time, these gifts help strengthen the bonds within our athletic training community by fostering meaningful connections between alumni and current students. specifically at events like NATA and EATA. Together, we can equip students with the resources they need, support their educational journey and build a strong network of professionals committed to the health and safety of those they serve.
