About This Project
The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice supports research by students at the undergraduate level via the Equal Justice Fellowship, which was instituted in 2019. Engaging in research is a high-impact educational practice. Studies show that there are multiple benefits to conducting research as an undergraduate. Benefits include:
- Exploring career directions
- Building transferable skills and enhancing resumes
- Learning to publicly advocate for and defend work
- Getting a leg up on graduate or professional school
- Contributing knowledge and impacting the world
How your support makes a difference!
Your gift helps reduce financial and personal barriers, allowing students to devote time and energy to investigating issues of justice, inequality and community well-being. This experience not only strengthens their academic and professional paths but also empowers them to contribute new knowledge and advocate for positive social change. Together, we are cultivating the next generation of scholars and leaders committed to equal justice.
