About This Project
At the Center for Disabilities Studies (CDS), we know that students with disabilities face uncertainty as they approach the end of high school. To ease the transition, CDS hosts UDiscover, an intensive, two-week, on-campus program for students with disabilities ages 16–22 that helps them create a personalized post–high school plan focused on education, training and essential life skills needed to thrive independently. This fundraising project will provide UDiscover students the opportunity to learn hands-on kitchen skills from celebrity chef and UD graduate Dana Herbert.
Help us make UDiscover accessible to students at a free or reduced cost by making a gift to the Career and Life Studies Scholarship Fund.
How your support makes a difference!
Your gift will help cover the cost for students to develop one of the most critical life skills a person needs to thrive in their personal lives. Chef Dana Herbert will lead UDiscover participants through creating a three-course meal emphasizing both technique and safety. Thank you for your support!
