About This Project
The UD Graduate Student Chapter of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) empowers students to grow as researchers and leaders. Through professional development and wellbeing workshops, mentorship and peer advising opportunities, community outreach events and social activities, BMES creates meaningful opportunities for students to build skills and connections that extend beyond the lab. By engaging students with these activities and other academic resources, we are able to help those graduate students be successful in their chosen career path.
Support for this project will expand workshop and outreach development as well as provide access to the national BMES conference attendance. These experiences allow students to promote biomedical engineering in broader communities while disseminating their research and honing their communication skills. Promoting the dissemination of research both within research fields and to the general public will not only enhance outreach efforts but also strengthen students’ networks for future employment. Together, we can empower graduate students to lead innovation and drive meaningful impact in biomedical engineering.
