About This Project

With an exceptional year of ambitious programming, meaningful collaboration and a steadfast commitment to our mission of producing quality theatre while providing educational opportunities, E-52 Student Theatre continues to have an outstanding impact on students—creatively, socially and personally. This I Heart UD Giving Day, we’re continuing to celebrate creative performance opportunities with our second annual “Shakespeare on the Green” event. On April 29th, members of E-52 will gather around campus to perform scenes and monologues from Shakespeare’s greatest hits while onlookers throw out suggestions to keep actors on their toes.

From long nights building sets to unforgettable performances, E-52 has always thrived because of the dedication of its members and the generosity of those who believe in its mission. Our I Heart UD Giving Day efforts are focused on enhancing our props and production resources, tools which are essential to creating the immersive, high-quality shows that define the E-52 experience. With your support, we can continue to provide current students with the materials they need to learn, create and shine on stage.

How your support makes a difference!

Your gift will help E-52 Student Theatre continue giving opportunities to student writers, directors, performers and props teams alike. The smallest donations can make a huge difference when it comes to our props closet. Props do not have to be expensive or elaborate to be crucial to the show, such as single-use props like bread for the Baker in Into the Woods or blood capsules for Dracula in Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors. Your support allows us to stretch our creativity and retrofit props so we can fit the specific visions of student writers and directors. Our annual student-written play festival SAST is the chief example of facilitating student creativity with unique props such as a custom-made ouija board, a sketch pad for a silent Michael Myers and a homemade campfire of foam rocks and tissue paper for scary ghost stories.
