About This Project
The Paul J. Rickards, Jr. Teaching Innovation Grant program encourages the spirit of innovation in education. These seed grants enable faculty to experiment with new approaches and take creative risks in their teaching. By funding bold ideas and sharing what works, we help great teaching spread across campus.
Recent projects funded by the grant include:
- a photovoice project exploring culture and community through student photography.
- an AI, robotics and hospitality course redefining entrepreneurial learning experiences.
- a 3D printing and augmented reality module for construction and spatial education.
- a hands-on escape room challenging students to apply renal and cardiovascular physiology concepts.
- interactive classroom activities to boost student engagement and success in calculus.
- an augmented reality sandbox and 3D models letting students sculpt landforms and simulate geological events in real time.
