About This Project
UD’s Game Studies & Esports program is growing rapidly, with more than 100 majors studying game design, esports management and the cultural impact of games in society. We are creating a Game Studies Hub in Jastak–Burgess Hall, a dedicated space where students can collaborate, experiment with gaming technology and develop creative projects together.
Equipped with gaming consoles, PCs, VR technology and flexible workspaces, the Hub will give students hands-on opportunities to explore how games are designed, played and studied. From classic consoles that many alumni may remember to the latest gaming technology, the Hub will support creative projects, collaborative learning and a welcoming community around the study of games.
The Hub will give our majors a place to call their own, a space to work on projects, host workshops and guest speakers and recharge between classes. With donor support, this new space will help students learn, create and connect while strengthening UD’s growing Game Studies community.
