About This Project
Each semester, Assistive Medical Technologies (AMT) hosts a hands-on workshop where University of Delaware students design and build custom assistive devices, such as modified ride-on cars, for children with mobility restrictions. This event combines engineering, creativity and community engagement, allowing students to apply their skills while providing life-changing support to local families. Funds raised will cover materials, tools and event logistics, ensuring each child receives a safe, fully customized device. By participating, donors help bring independence, joy and accessibility to children who might otherwise face mobility barriers.
How your support makes a difference!
Your gift directly enables students to build and deliver personalized assistive devices for children in our community. Donations fund materials, tools and supplies, making it possible to modify ride-on cars and create supportive devices that improve mobility, independence and quality of life for children with disabilities. Every contribution helps us reach more families and create more inclusive experiences.
Gifts may also be used as general support for the Assistive Medical Technologies student organization.
