Lerner Transformational Experiences in Finance
Provide UD finance students with opportunities to attend conferences and visit regional employers.

About This Project

University of Delaware’s Transformational Experiences in Finance (TEF) provides finance students with enrichment opportunities, such as attending conferences and visiting regional employers in the finance industry.

Recent student events include touring ACRES Capital's Long Island headquarters and meeting with the C-Suite leadership team, attending the Mortgage Bankers Association's Private Credit Finance Summit in New York City, a trip to Baltimore, Maryland for a private tour of T. Rowe Price's trading floor, and a day trip to Vanguard in Malvern, PA to meet with their executive team. Day trips like these have the potential to translate into summer internship opportunities for our students.

Additionally, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) of Philadelphia has been instrumental in hosting multiple finance workshops specifically for our UD finance students. These real estate finance workshops have included hardhat tours of two active redevelopment projects in Philadelphia. Thanks to ULI, our UD finance students have visited redevelopment projects in University City and the Navy Yard during the past year.

Our next day trip is tentatively scheduled to occur later this spring where we will visit the headquarters of a publicly traded finance firm in NYC.

How your support makes a difference!

Your gift will be used to offset the costs of transportation and registration associated with attending financial industry events. These elite opportunities provide students with real world, experiential learning. Thank you to all donors for making these opportunities a reality for our Blue Hens!
