About this project:

There are always new discoveries to be made, pressing issues to be solved and wildlife and ecosystems to be protected. The Mariners Fund is dedicated to ensuring UD’s School of Marine Science and Policy is at the forefront of scientific discovery and conservation.

The Mariners Fund supports a range of activities, including but not limited to:

Undergraduate fieldwork and research opportunities
Graduate student stipends
Faculty research
Equipment maintenance

Your gift to the Mariners Fund helps UD remain at the forefront of scientific exploration. Here is how different gift amounts impact what UD can accomplish:

$250 purchases supplies for faculty research projects.
$500 covers time for classes to use research vessels.
$1,000 supports students’ summer research experiences with faculty.
$2,500 helps pilot a new research project on regional and national ecological challenges.
