About this project:

The Paul J. Rickards, Jr. Teaching Innovation Grant program celebrates creativity and bold thinking in education. In a rapidly evolving educational landscape shaped by technology and new ways of learning, these seed grants empower faculty to reimagine how students engage in the classroom.

Each project is showcased through videos, presentations and campus events that share outcomes and inspire others to explore new approaches in their own teaching, creating a ripple effect of innovation that leads to more engaging, cutting-edge learning experiences for students.

Recently awarded projects include:

  • A virtual reality business simulation that gives accounting and MIS students hands-on experience making real-world decisions in immersive settings
  • An interactive “PhysioEscape Room” that challenges biology students to solve renal and cardiovascular puzzles through applied physiology
  • An AI and robotics learning series that brings entrepreneurial principles to life through creative, student-driven projects
  • A 3D printing and augmented reality module that enhances spatial understanding in construction education
