About this project:
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) at the University of Delaware brings awareness to the lack of Hispanic and Latine people in engineering and computer science fields. We mitigate this marginalization by providing resources and a supportive community of like-minded individuals. We celebrate our diverse cultures and backgrounds as we honor our heritage. SHPE empowers its members through these connections and resources so that they can become leaders in their respective disciplines and help encourage generations to come.
How your support makes a difference!
Your gift will help a student achieve their dreams. Many of our members are either first-generation students or come from challenging backgrounds. Many struggle to find a community, especially in their disciplines. Most continue to face these hardships as they graduate and enter the workforce. However, with your support, SHPE can have a greater outreach and impact to support and empower these students. Either through convention or conference cost coverage, events we host or general programming support. With your help, we can empower these students to become successful leaders.
