Coop Extension Program: Plant Diagnostic Clinic
Help deliver timely, science-based diagnoses and guidance to gardeners, farmers and land managers.

About this project:

With strong partnerships across Cooperative Extension, state and federal agencies and the agricultural community, the Plant Diagnostic Clinic is not just solving plant problems, we’re stopping them from spreading. Donor support helps us keep these services free to the public, while training the next generation of plant health detectives and expanding our outreach across the state. Every contribution helps us hire student interns, purchase lab supplies and continue offering high-quality, science-based diagnostics. Together, we can keep Delaware growing strong, from backyard gardens to the state’s biggest farms.

How your support makes a difference!

Your gift plays a vital role in keeping the UD Plant Diagnostic Clinic running. Donor support helps cover essential costs, from lab supplies like petri dishes, gloves, and specialized agar to advanced molecular testing and sequencing tools needed for accurate diagnoses.

Just as importantly, your support funds paid internships for students, giving them valuable hands-on experience in plant diagnostics, research and community outreach.

Every dollar empowers us to deliver timely, science-based diagnoses and expert guidance to gardeners, farmers and land managers across Delaware.

When you give, you’re not just supporting a clinic—you’re investing in education, sustainability, and strong local partnerships. Your support makes a real and lasting difference.

Gifts will be designated to the the Cooperative Extension Program. Cooperative Extension will direct support to the UD Plant Diagnostic Clinic.
