International Student Emergency Fund
Support unforeseen financial emergencies experienced by international students studying at UD.

About this project:

The International Student Emergency Fund provides financial support to international students on F and J visas during times of need so that they can continue their studies successfully at UD. Recent examples of unforeseen circumstances that required urgent assistance include medical and health emergencies, unexpected international travel due to family emergency and a fire in a local apartment complex requiring students to be displaced.

Administered by the Center for Global Programs & Services (CGPS) at the University of Delaware, emergency assistance through the International Student Emergency Fund is provided to a limited number of international students for up to $1,000.

Support is generally given as a one-time award, and award decisions are made based on the applicant’s individual situation. Many factors are considered in making a decision to approve or deny a request, and amounts awarded are subject to availability of funds per year.

How your support makes a difference!

Your gift will help to build this financial safety net for Blue Hens who are thousands of miles from home and are in need of a helping hand due to an unforeseen financial emergency. Contributions will enable us to support more students during their time of need.

Gifts may also be used as general support for international students.
