About this project:
Women in Electrical and Computer Engineering (WECE) aims to support the academic success, community retention and career readiness of our members by funding the essential networking and socialization events that build confidence, create a supportive environment and ensure every student in the program has the support from their peers and mentors to succeed in the complex field of engineering.
Funds raised will be critically invested in three key areas:
- Professional Development & Exposure: Subsidizing the cost for members to attend conferences and professional workshops. This exposure is vital for networking, interviewing and staying current with industry innovations.
 - Mentorship and Skill-Building: Funding our targeted mentorship panels and workshops that bring successful female engineers in the workforce and academia to talk about their experience and lessons learned. The intent is to bridge the gap between classroom theory and professional practice.
 - Community and Retention Events: Directly funding our networking and social events—including welcome gatherings, study breaks and end-of-semester celebrations—which are proven to improve student retention rates, foster a supportive environment and strengthen peer mentorship bonds.

How your support makes a difference!
By making a gift, you become a direct partner in building a more diverse, inclusive and capable engineering workforce. Every contribution ensures that our members graduate not just as engineers, but as confident, connected and empowered leaders ready to tackle the world's greatest challenges.
Gifts may also be used as general support for WECE.
