Legal Professional Preparatory Program (LP3)
Empower the next generation of lawyers to advocate for justice and uphold the rule of law.

About this project:

The path to law school is as diverse as the legal profession itself. The Legal Professional Preparatory Program (LP3) is designed to support prospective law students across all majors and disciplines. At the University of Delaware, students can tailor their undergraduate experience to explore their interests while developing the skills and knowledge necessary for law school. Staff help students explore experiential learning opportunities and engage in career development activities, ensuring they are well-prepared for law school.

Donations are used as general support for LP3, including costs associated with:

  • Experiential Learning Opportunities - LP3 Internship Program, stipends for students participating in unpaid internships and travel expenses for conferences.
  • Networking and Career Development - alumni mentorship program, networking events, guest lectures, conference travel, career workshops and the 2026 Pre-Law Conference.

How your support makes a difference!

Your gift will directly impact the lives of our students and contribute to the future of the legal profession. Together, we can empower the next generation of lawyers to advocate for justice, uphold the rule of law and effect positive change in our society.

Each gift, no matter the amount, makes an impact. For example:

  • $180 funds a 10-15 hour micro-internship in the legal field
  • $500 funds a travel stipend for a pre-law conference
  • $2,000 funds a 20-hour, 10-week internship in the legal field
  • $4,000 funds a 40-hour, 10-week internship in the legal field
