Delaware Master Naturalist Program
Expand coordination capacity for the Delaware Master Naturalist Program.

About this project:

The 2025 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award-winning Delaware Master Naturalist Program exemplifies a deep commitment to environmental stewardship through dedicated volunteer service and ongoing training. Each year, the program continues to grow—now boasting over 100 active Delaware Master Naturalists who support its vital conservation mission.

As the program expands, so too does the need for enhanced coordination at the state level. To sustain and strengthen this growth, we are seeking grants and donations to fund a full-time coordinator. This role will foster synergy among our network of Delaware Master Naturalists and over 25 Local Organizing Partners, helping to build robust communities of practice centered on conservation.

At a time when protecting our natural resources is more critical than ever, this effort will significantly amplify the program’s reach and impact—ensuring that our mission not only endures, but thrives.

How your support makes a difference!

Across the country, conservation programs are being asked to do more with fewer resources. The Delaware Master Naturalist Program is no exception. Even the smallest donation can make a significant impact—helping us expand our reach, support volunteers and strengthen our conservation efforts.

In 2024 alone, Delaware Master Naturalists contributed over 9,000 hours of volunteer service—each hour valued nationally at more than $32. Your support will help us grow that impact even further.

Thank you for considering a donation. If you're unable to give, we encourage you to join the Delaware Master Naturalist Program or volunteer with one of our 25+ Local Organizing Partners. Every action counts in the mission to protect and preserve Delaware’s natural resources.

Gifts may also provide general support for the Delaware Master Naturalist Program.
