Delaware Master Naturalist Program
Expand coordination capacity for the Delaware Master Naturalist Program.

About this project:

Winner of the 2025 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award, the Delaware Master Naturalist Program embodies a strong commitment to environmental stewardship through dedicated volunteer service and continuous learning. Each year, the program continues to flourish—now engaging more than 100 active Delaware Master Naturalists who advance its vital conservation mission.

As the program grows, so too does the need for enhanced coordination at the state level to strengthen collaboration among our network of Delaware Master Naturalists and more than 25 Local Organizing Partners. This unified effort will help cultivate robust communities of practice centered on conservation and stewardship.

At a time when protecting our natural resources is more crucial than ever, this initiative will expand the program’s reach and amplify its impact—ensuring that our mission not only endures, but thrives for generations to come.

How your support makes a difference!

Across the nation, conservation programs are being challenged to do more with fewer resources—and the Delaware Master Naturalist Program is no exception. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference by helping us expand our reach, support volunteers, and strengthen conservation efforts across the state.

In 2024 alone, Delaware Master Naturalists dedicated over 9,000 hours of volunteer service—each hour valued nationally at more than $32. With your support, we can build on that success and extend our impact even further.

Thank you for considering a donation. If you’re unable to give, we invite you to join the Delaware Master Naturalist Program or volunteer with one of our 25+ Local Organizing Partners. Every action matters in our shared mission to protect and preserve Delaware’s natural resources.
