The Student-Athlete Excellence Fund provides critical support for the areas of greater need across Delaware Athletics. With the ever-changing landscape of college athletics, including new opportunities in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) arrangements, the flexibility of this fund will allow the department to provide proactive and strategic responses to drive competitive success while maintaining an exceptional student-athlete experience for our Blue Hens.

The Student-Athlete Excellence Fund is designed to provide expanded opportunities for donors to support student-athletes at the University of Delaware, in order to attract and retain elite Blue Hens.
A generous student-athlete alum and their family have committed up to $750,000 in matching funds to the Student-Athlete Excellence Fund this year to kick-start this newly established fund.
