About this project:
The new water and sand playscape design is a key component of the UD Lab School playground renovation. This project honors Dr. Cynthia Paris' legacy by bringing her passion for early childhood education to life through the creation of an enriching, nature-based play area. Water and loose parts, such as sand, pebbles, sticks and plants, offer opportunities for discovery, agency and endless imaginative play. Water is a great way to activate play spaces, as children are almost twice as active in water play, from sprays to pumps to rain gardens. This new design will facilitate inventive and boundless experiences, bringing joy to all.
