About this project:
The Animal Science Club's three primary goals this year are to send students to a livestock judging competition, a national convention and an animal welfare assessment contest. In February, we will send students to the University of Connecticut for the Northeast Student Affiliate (NESA) competition, where they will compete in livestock judging classes, participate in a quiz bowl tournament, deliver presentations and attend a networking banquet. Our members work hard all semester to showcase their knowledge and proudly represent the University of Delaware at this regional event.
We are also aiming to send students to our Block and Bridle National Convention for the first time! This opportunity will allow our members to bring fresh ideas back to campus and grow as leaders. Another new venture for our club is participating in the Animal Welfare Assessment Contest hosted by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). This contest helps students strengthen their reasoning and communication skills while applying animal science knowledge from both classwork and student-led discussions.
With your generous support, we can make these exciting opportunities a reality for our members!
How your support makes a difference!
With your gift, the Animal Science Club members can attend regional and national competitions. This opportunity allows our members the chance to put their animal science skills to the test, connect with students from across the country and strengthen our bonds as a club at UD. These events also let us proudly represent the University of Delaware!
Gifts may also be used as general support for the Animal Science Club.
