About this project:
The Muslim Women Scholars at the University of Delaware is a critical solidarity network dedicated to empowering Muslim women pursuing graduate degrees. We envision a future where Muslim women are recognized, respected and revered not just for their academic achievements but for their contributions to building a diverse, inclusive and harmonious community. Our scholars face a unique intersection of challenges—from gendered Islamophobia to navigating complex religious and cultural expectations—that can make their academic path feel isolating. This project is the lifeline that transforms those challenges into opportunities, and our mission is to empower Muslim women through a forum for facilitating inclusive dialogue.
