About this project:
The Minority Mentor Lecture Series (MMLS) was created in 2008 by the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware to address the disproportionate representation of minority scholars in the fields of Criminology and Sociology. This series aims to showcase the important work of minority scholars in these fields, provide mentoring and network opportunities for students, and cultivate professional development for all graduate students. This event includes a guest lecture for the UD and broader Delaware community, a reception for our department and sponsors, a professional development session for graduate students and mentorship opportunities.
The event is student-led and student-run. MMLS aims to (1) showcase minority scholarship to the campus at large, and (2) establish professional development and networking opportunities.
