Common Questions

Why has I Heart UD Day been postponed?

On the afternoon of Tuesday, 4/29, an accident involving one or more UD students occurred near campus on Main St. Out of respect for the victims, their loved ones, and the UD community, I Heart UD Giving Day has been postponed. What happens to gifts that were already made now that the event has been postponed?

All gifts have been processed and will be included in the rescheduled I Heart UD Giving Day celebration (date TBD). If you have a specific question or concern about your gift, please reach out to us at annualgiving@udel.edu.

Are gifts to the University of Delaware tax-deductible?

Yes! All gifts made through the University of Delaware's HenFunder platform will go directly to the University and are tax-deductible. The University of Delaware is a 501c3 and our non-profit tax ID # is 51-6000297.

Is my information secure?

Yes! The crowdfunding platform, ScaleFunder, which has partnered with the University of Delaware, will not share any of your information with anyone other than UD. All gifts are collected through secure transactions through the University's authorized PCI-compliant payment processors.
