Critical Perspectives Mentor Lecture
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The Critical Perspectives Mentor Lecture, formerly known as the Minority Series (MMLS), was created in 2008 by the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware to address the disproportionate representation of minority scholars in the fields of Criminology and Sociology. This series aims to showcase the important work of minority scholars in these fields, provide mentoring and networking opportunities for students and cultivate professional development for all graduate students. This event includes a guest lecture for the UD and broader Delaware community, a reception for our department and sponsors, a professional development session for all graduate students and mentorship opportunities.
THE IMPACT OF YOUR SUPPORT
Your gift will help us support the mission of CPML in showcasing the important scholarship of minority scholars and providing professional development and mentorship for students. Recognizing the ongoing value of this event for both undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice as well as the broader UD campus, your contribution would be instrumental in supporting the event. Specifically, your contribution would enable us to maintain equity in the event's structure and ensure a fair honorarium for our guest speaker. Thank you for your generosity!
Gifts will be allocated to the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice. The Department will provide direct support to the Critical Perspectives Mentor Lecture.
