UD Alternative Breaks (UDAB): Winter Programs
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Through hands-on service and meaningful reflection, UD Alternative Breaks (UDAB) students build leadership skills, strengthen community partnerships, and discover how collective action can create lasting change.
This January, UDAB will send two teams of students to Lakeland, FL to partner with community organizations tackling ongoing hurricane relief projects in central Florida.
One 2026 participant reflects on their UDAB experience:
“Participating in UDAB was the best decision I could have made. The service was nothing short of life-changing and every person was so incredible. I walked away from the program with an amplified passion for service and so many new friends.” – Nora Vallarino
THE IMPACT OF YOUR SUPPORT
Your gift makes it possible for more students to participate in UDAB’s winter break service programs by removing financial barriers and expanding access to hands-on learning experiences that foster civic leadership and social responsibility. Every gift directly supports travel, housing and program costs, empowering students to serve alongside community partners addressing critical issues. With your help, UD students can turn compassion into action and make a lasting impact in multiple communities.
Gifts may also provide general support for UDAB.
