ABOUT THIS PROJECT

The UD English Internship Program provides students with unique work-experience opportunities in a range of fields including publishing, medical writing, fundraising, legal aid, arts and culture. These internships allow students to gain hands-on experiences that reflect their interests and use their academic training. For 40 years, the UD English Department has remained committed to student success and well-being as we aim to connect students with rewarding careers while decreasing student financial obstacles. This project helps us to cover travel and technology costs so students focus on their goals as they pursue valuable professional internships.

Although internships promote career growth and the development of professional skills, the associated costs – such as commuting, technology and other necessary expenses – can place a financial strain on students, making it difficult for them to take full advantage of these opportunities.
