Library, Museums and Press
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The Library Director Fund for Innovation and Creativity was established in 2015 to honor Susan Brynteson, who served as University of Delaware’s University Librarian for 35 years and left a lasting legacy of visionary leadership and innovation. The Fund gives the University of Delaware Library, Museums and Press the flexibility to invest in promising ideas and respond to emerging opportunities that may not fit neatly within the traditional budget.
Donor support has already helped make innovative initiatives possible, including UDStax, an AI-powered chatbot that provides students with 24/7 support, and a shared faculty position connecting Special Collections with the Department of English to bring distinctive collections into the classroom. As we carry Susan’s legacy forward, this fund will help us continue to say yes to new ideas that strengthen research, teaching, learning and discovery for the UD community and beyond.
THE IMPACT OF YOUR SUPPORT
Your gift to the Library Director Fund for Innovation and Creativity gives the University of Delaware Library, Museums and Press greater flexibility to act on ideas that can make a meaningful difference for students, faculty, researchers and the broader community. Donor support can help launch new programs, expand experiential learning opportunities, connect students and faculty with distinctive collections, explore emerging technologies and respond quickly to opportunities that advance the Library’s mission.
Your gift helps turn good ideas into meaningful impact. Whether supporting an emerging technology, a new learning experience or an innovative way to connect people with knowledge and collections, your generosity gives the Library the ability to act when opportunity arises.
