ABOUT THIS PROJECT

There are uncharted depths to explore, urgent environmental crises to solve and vital marine ecosystems to protect. The Mariners Fund empowers the University of Delaware’s School of Marine Science and Policy to lead the charge in groundbreaking scientific discovery and ocean conservation. This project helps to fund:

  • Hands-on Fieldwork: Immersive undergraduate research and real-world expeditions
  • Top-Tier Talent: Essential graduate student stipends that attract the brightest minds
  • Cutting-Edge Research: Faculty-led initiatives tackling complex ecological challenges
  • Mission-Critical Gear: Maintenance and advancement of state-of-the-art scientific equipment

  • $500 could help with supplies for a summer student intern
  • $1,000 could sponsor a class aboard the Daiber, one of our research vessels
  • $5,000 could fund five students for an experiential opportunity
  • $10,000 could fund a summer student internship
  • $25,000 could pilot a new research project
