ABOUT THIS PROJECT

University of Delaware’s Transformational Experiences in Finance (TEF) provides Finance students with opportunities to attend financial conferences as well as visit regional employers in the finance industry. Recent student events include touring ACRES Capital's headquarters and meeting with the C-Suite leadership team, attending the Mortgage Bankers Association's Private Credit Finance Summit in New York City and a trip to Vanguard's corporate headquarters in Malvern, PA. Day trips like these have the potential to translate into summer internships or full-time job opportunities for our students. Additionally, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) of Philadelphia has been instrumental in hosting multiple finance workshops specifically for our UD finance students. These real estate finance workshops have included hardhat tours of two active redevelopment projects in Philadelphia. Thanks to ULI, our UD finance students have visited redevelopment projects in University City and the Navy Yard during the past year. Our next day trip is scheduled to occur this fall where we will visit T. Rowe Price in Baltimore, Maryland for a private tour of the trading floor at their new corporate office building.
