ABOUT THIS PROJECT

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at the University of Delaware is dedicated to empowering students in engineering by fostering an inclusive and supportive community. Recognizing the challenges women have historically faced in the engineering field, SWE provides opportunities for members to build confidence, develop professional skills and form meaningful connections.

Throughout the year, SWE hosts events focused on professional development, mentorship and networking. One of the organization's most valuable opportunities is attending the annual national Society of Women Engineers Conference, held in a different major city each year.

At the conference, students participate in workshops led by industry professionals, explore career opportunities and connect with representatives from leading companies. Members return to UD with valuable insights, new skills and professional connections that they can share with fellow students, extending the impact of their experience beyond the conference.

Through these initiatives, SWE helps prepare the next generation of engineers to thrive in their careers and contribute to a more inclusive engineering community.

THE IMPACT OF YOUR SUPPORT

Your generosity helps the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at the University of Delaware send students to the 2026 WE Conference in Boston, Massachusetts.

Through this experience, members can connect with industry professionals, explore career opportunities and gain valuable skills and insights to share with fellow students. Your support helps make these professional development opportunities more accessible while fostering a stronger, more inclusive engineering community at UD.

Funds may also be used for general support of the Society of Women Engineers at the University of Delaware.
