The Jerome Lewis Director's Fund in the Institute for Public Administration provides life-changing, future-ready opportunities for students, preparing them for influential careers as public leaders. Our students and alumni know first-hand the impact of experiential learning opportunities, research support and other valuable support.

At IPA, emerging leaders like Ray Kalmanowitz, a 4+1 public administration student, harness the power of hands-on experience to build expansive networks and robust knowledge in public service. In Ray’s case, this led to his being the first student to benefit from the Jerome Lewis Director's Fund. The Fund honors the memory of IPA’s founding director, Jerome R. Lewis, and is a testament to his passion for supporting the educational goals of the next generation of public servants.

The IPA experience has served generations of public leaders well, with alum Nicholas Brock (M.A., ‘16) crediting his experience as a Legislative Fellow with helping him understand the intersection of government, law and policy. He now draws on the expertise gained during his time at IPA to inform his work as Chief of Staff for the Majority Caucus in the Delaware House of Representatives.

The Jerome Lewis Director's Fund in the Institute for Public Administration is an endowed fund designed to last in perpetuity. All contributions made to this fund are restricted for use according to the agreement of the endowment.
