Animal Science Club
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The Animal Science Club at the University of Delaware is raising funds to help members attend regional and national competitions and conventions. These experiences allow students to apply their animal science knowledge, develop valuable skills and connect with peers from across the country.
Through these opportunities, members strengthen their professional networks, build lasting friendships and proudly represent the University of Delaware at events that support their academic and career goals.
THE IMPACT OF YOUR SUPPORT
Your generosity helps the Animal Science Club at the University of Delaware provide students with opportunities to compete, develop professional skills and connect with peers and industry professionals.
This year, we're raising funds to support three exciting opportunities:
- Block and Bridle National Convention: For the first time, we hope to send members to this national event where they can develop leadership skills, exchange ideas and bring new perspectives back to UD.
- Animal Welfare Assessment Contest: Members plan to participate in this competition hosted by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), applying their animal science knowledge while strengthening critical thinking and communication skills.
- Northeast Student Affiliate (NESA) Competition: In February, members will travel to Rutgers University to compete in livestock judging, quiz bowl tournaments and presentations while connecting with peers at a networking banquet. Last year, UD placed fourth overall at UConn, with one member earning second place in livestock judging.
These experiences build on the club's longstanding traditions while creating new opportunities for student growth and achievement. Every gift helps make these valuable experiences possible and allows our members to proudly represent the University of Delaware.
Funds may also be used for general support of the Animal Science Club at the University of Delaware.
